innovating at lake forest college
business, music, entrepreneurship and innovation
I graduated from Lake Forest College in May 2020 with a Bachelors of Arts in Business, Music, and Entrepreneurship. Going into college, I knew I wanted to create, create, create. I came out of Kennebunk High School as the co-founder of their school store, co-founder of the NHS tutoring program, and even left myself responsible for planning school reunions for years to come as an elected member of my class’ executive council.
At LFC, my first taste of entrepreneurship outside of music was being selected as the Marketing Director for the inaugural TEDxLakeForestCollege event, which sold out weeks prior. working with a small team of four first-year students, I was responsible for the event's theme and branding. That same year, I joined the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO), and became their marketing strategist for meetings and events. Later, I founded The Entrepreneurship Society, a newer version of the club that gave power to more diverse student entrepreneurs through networking and incubation sessions.
During my sophomore year, my good friend Noah Vanderhyde and I took our shared love for design and fashion to create Nimrod Brand, a clothing and accessory line that fulfilled 90 online orders over the course of two years. These designs spanned from original work, community designs, and collaborations with the school. Senior year, I made it to the final round of LFC’s Venture Design Challenge with AuxBattle, a gamified jukebox mobile application that I co-founded with LFC student Alex Armas. Unfortunately, the event was cancelled due to COVID-19, and we lost our chance to win $5,000 to develop the app.
